Herman served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed tinkering, working on cars, watching NASCAR, and fishing with his best friend Ray Hamrick. Mr. Martin loved the Lord and was a loyal member of Faith Baptist Church. He always stated "That whether it was healing here or on the other side, he was a winner either way". Herman was a man of dignity with a heart of gold, full of integrity, a great man of faith, and a man of his word.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife Linda Martin "Valerie"; two brothers, Clyde Martin and Clifford Martin.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Martin and two sisters, Ruth Martin and Clara Martin.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Samaritan's Purse, Faith Baptist or a charity of choice.
