James Clifford Harbin

He was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late Daniel H. Harbin and Cora Hoffman Harbin.

Mr. Harbin was United States Army veteran and retired from Freightliner PMP in 2004.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jean Montgomery Harbin; brothers, Robert and Roy Harbin; sisters, Freda Davis and Mamie McConnell. He was loved and admired by his family, friends and neighbors. Many are going to miss his presence in their lives.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Pamela Harbin Walls and husband Terry of Gastonia; grandson, Caleb Walls of Gastonia; sisters, Eunice Carpenter and Dorothy Sutton both of Spencer Mountain.

Services for Mr. Harbin will be held 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel in Stanley with Chaplain Carl Synan officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens.
