She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Loretta Vecchione.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Carothers Chapel in Stanley, with Dr. Gerald Bearden presiding.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly after the service.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Oscar Willard and son William Willard.
She is survived by her son, Ray Willard and wife Donna, daughters, Margaret Jetton and Alberta Smith; brothers, Johnny Vecchione and Richie Vecchione, 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley is service the Willard family.
