June 21, 1948 – July 12, 2025
Anastasia Hiler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 12, 2025. Born on June 21, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, Ann lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
She grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH), where she met her future husband and the love of her life, Glenn Hiler. Their love story began in high school and blossomed into a lifelong partnership—a beautiful 57-year marriage that began when they wed on April 4, 1968. Glenn deeply loved and cared for Ann. They were true soulmates—together for nearly their entire lives, bound by a love that only grew stronger with time. Glenn adored her completely, always by her side through life’s joys and challenges, sharing in every moment with unwavering devotion.
Ann was blessed with her cherished son, Jason, on November 26, 1971. The family later moved to Staten Island, where she raised Jason with unconditional love, constant support, and endless pride. Her heart overflowed with joy as she watched him grow into the man she admired so deeply. Jason went on to marry Nicole, and together they welcomed three wonderful children: Madison, Sophia, and Nicholas. Ann’s grandchildren were the absolute joy of her life. Her love for them was boundless. Just being near them brought her indescribable joy, and her face would light up with every smile, laugh, or hug they shared. She cherished every moment with them, making each one feel uniquely loved and special. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and unwavering affection left a lasting imprint on their hearts.
Her grandchildren lovingly recall:
"Even though Grandma wasn't always up for company and didn't feel well sometimes, her beautiful smile and the sparkle in her eyes always made us feel so loved. Her love for us was so strong—we always felt lucky to be cared about so deeply. Her smile lit up the room."
Ann built a successful career in finance, working for many years at the respected money management firm Forstmann Leff Associates. Known for her work ethic and integrity, she was deeply respected by her colleagues.
In her retirement, Ann embraced the things that brought her joy—shopping (often buying two of everything just in case), and trips to Atlantic City with Glenn and their beloved friends, Joe and Rose. Her sense of humor, warmth, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Ann was a woman of grace, strength, and endless love. She lived with kindness in her heart and a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
