Born in Lista, Norway, Anne emigrated to the United States with her family as a young child, beginning a life shaped by both her Scandinavian roots and her American home. She carried this dual heritage with pride throughout her life.
Anne was the eldest of four children, a role she embraced with quiet strength and a natural sense of responsibility. She was the beloved daughter of Kaare Abrahamsen and Olaug Heskestad. She is survived by her three brothers: Bill Abrahamsen and his wife Ruth, Ken Abrahamsen and his wife Teresa, and Rob Abrahamsen. Loving sister-in-law to Pamela Mauro, Anthony and Virginia Faiella and Paul and Nancy Morris. Leaving behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she dearly loved.
On April 13, 1991, Anne married Edward Olsen, who survives her. Edward was Anne’s devoted husband and steadfast partner for more than three decades. Throughout her illness, he remained lovingly by her side, offering constant care, strength, and unwavering support. Their marriage was one of deep commitment, mutual respect, and enduring love, and his devotion to Anne was evident to all who knew them. She drew great comfort from his presence, and their bond remained a source of strength until the very end.
Anne was a loving stepmother to Erica Olsen and a proud grandmother to Sienna and Sofia, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Anne enjoyed a successful career as a private banker, admired for her intelligence, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Known for her independence, she approached life with confidence and determination, while always placing family at the center of her world.
Outside of her career, Anne was an avid cross-country skier and an enthusiastic traveler, finding joy in exploration and adventure. Whether on the trails or abroad, she embraced life fully and on her own terms.
Above all, Anne will be remembered as a woman of independence, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her presence, strength, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
