

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Anne Pinto, 92, of Dongan Hills, a retired secretary and family-oriented person who often organized trips for fellow senior citizens, died Thursday in Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze.
Born Anne Candrilli in Manhattan, she spent a majority of her life in Dongan Hills, with a brief stint in Rosebank.
She graduated from Curtis High School and later worked as a secretary at Sea View Hospital Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She retired in the 1980s.
Mrs. Pinto was a member of the Dongan Hills AARP chapter. She also coordinated senior citizen trips to various locations around the country as part of the group, AP Friends.
She loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Pinto was a parishioner of St. Ann's R.C. Church, Dongan Hills.
Her husband of 39 years, Frank, died in 1980, and her son, Jerome, died in 1992.
Surviving are two sons, Frank and Robert; five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
