I worked with Anne at the EEOC, when she was an investigator and when she became a mediator.  She was universally respected as a kind and caring individual.  One irascible attorney told me that she was his favorite mediator, because of her lovely manners.

I know she told me that she had been retired from the EEOC longer than she worked there, but she was not forgotten.  May she rest in peace.

So sorry to learn of Mrs. Schlage’s passing. I had her for Freshman English at Our Lady of Mercy Academy. She was a great English teacher and will be missed.

Mrs. Schrage was my Freshman English teacher at OLMA. I have fond memories of the stories we read in her class.  She was a lovely teacher!

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing  of Mrs. Schrage.  She was my English teacher from 1976  to 1978  for my Freshman and Sophomore years at OLMA. I learned to love literature in her classes.

(Great) Aunt Anne was one of my very favorite people.  Everyone who knew her called her one of the kindest people they had ever known.  She was also one of the most unassuming, despite being highly accomplished in many facets of life.  Her dedication to her family no matter how remote the kinship was touching and inspiring.  She, Uncle Rich, and her children and grandchildren are in our constant prayers at this time.

My deepest heart-felt prayers to the Schrage family. Mrs. Schrage was my English teacher at OLMA  and a wonderful teacher and woman.

Anne and Rich were our wonderful next door neighbors on the Upper West Side. After they moved we remained friends and would meet for meals, the track or bit of culture. 
Due to circumstances we hadn’t met in person for quite some time. That said  the Schrages always remained in our hearts. Anne was a lovely woman who radiated  kindness . Her  devotion to family and friends was unparalleled. I always relished hearing about the family reunions . We’ll miss Anne dearly. But take comfort that she is  at perfect peace in heaven, The pictures the family posted are terrific and show the breadth of her  life. We’ve lost a dear friend . I had the pleasure of working with Anne at EEOC for many years.  After I retired in 2008, I kept in touch with her through a group we had at work called "You Know."  It required a weekly email among the 5 members to determine whose turn it was to play our lotto card! (And you thought it was work-related?)  Anne was not only a smart professional and a great editor, but also a fun-loving, serious, empathetic and principled human being.  She was  patient and poised even in challenging work situations,  and well-liked and respected by her colleagues. And I knew how proud she was of her family by the look on her face when she talked about them.  To Rich, Karen, Michelle, and Rich Jr., I send my sympathy and love as you take in  this huge loss. My years working with Anne revealed her to be not just a smart dedicated professional and a great editor, but also a serious, fun and principled human being.  She had endless good humor and was well-liked and respected by her colleagues.  She wasn't given to boasting but she was clearly proud of family, evident by the look on her face when she talked about them.   We've lost a good one. So sad that we lost my second mom growing up. She was such a wonderful woman. My thoughts are with the extended Schrage family. May her memory bring you comfort.

The memories are countless and priceless! So grateful to have known this amazing woman who will be very missed.
