

After completing his education at Sacred Heart, Augustinian Academy, Villanova, and Wagner College Graduate School, Anthony served in the Army 3rd Division, spending three years stationed in Germany. His military tenure was marked by dedication and a steadfast commitment to his duties.
Returning to civilian life, Anthony embarked on a distinguished career in education. He began teaching at St. Peter's Boys High School, then moved to the New York City Department of Education, teaching at PS31 and Port Richmond High School.
At Port Richmond, he became a Step Coordinator, a role in which he passionately guided numerous youths towards meaningful employment, embodying his belief in the transformative power of hard work. Anthony never missed a day of work in over three decades, testament to his dedication. His later years were spent as an investigator with the NYC Child Protective Services, continuing his commitment to the welfare of youth.
Anthony was also deeply involved in his community, volunteering for the Pepper Martin Run, the Rocco Laurie Foundation, and participating actively in the Republican Party. A lifelong worshipper at Sacred Heart, his faith played a significant role throughout his life.
He is survived by William Brown and was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Gertrude Brown, and his siblings, Thomas and Carol.
A service to honor his life will be held at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Ave, Staten Island, NY 10310. Anthony's life was one of unwavering service and dedication, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
