

Born and raised in Brooklyn, he attended William E. Grady High School there. He moved to West Brighton in 1993, and settled in the Sunset Hill section of the community in 1995.
Mr. Grimaldi was a tow truck operator, most recently working for American Collision. Prior to that, he owned and operated his own towing company.
His favorite pastime was being with his family, but he also was an avid sports fan. He rooted for the New York Giants and the Mets, but his special favorite was hockey, and he passed on his love for the sport to his son, Anthony Francis, and took an active role in the boy’s hockey team.
Mr. Grimaldi also enjoyed going on cruises.
“He was good to everyone, very well-liked, and always went above and beyond,” said his wife, the former Lois Scarcella.
Mr. Grimaldi was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Brighton.
Surviving, along with his son, Anthony, and Lois, his wife of 24 years, are his mother, June Sorrentino Grimaldi; his brother, John, and his sister, Judith McHugh.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Brighton.
