Arlene Schipani Selnes

Arlene was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Phyllis and Stephen Ucciardi. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother (“Nana”), and friend. She married Joseph Schipani, with whom she shared a loving marriage and welcomed their beloved son, Stephen.

Following her son and grandchildren, Arlene later moved to Staten Island in 2000.

After many loving years of marriage, her husband Joseph was laid to rest. Following this profound loss, Arlene found love again with Frank Selnes. Together, they traveled the world and created many cherished memories, sharing their lives with their families.

Arlene loved spending time with her family at Sunday Dinners, had a deep appreciation for history, and especially enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days. She touched the lives of everyone she met and left a lasting, positive impression on all who knew her.

Arlene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Joanne; her granddaughter, Erica; her sister, Dolores; as well as cherished cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by Frank as well as her beloved grandson Vincent.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 4, from 2–4 PM and 6–9 PM at Casey Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, February 5, at 10 AM at the Church of St. Rita. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arlene’s memory to the Elle Foundation of Bridgewater, NJ
