Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, Bobby Ray always held a deep love for his hometown. His adventurous spirit led him to serve in the United States Coast Guard, which brought him to Staten Island—a place he would call home for the rest of his life. It was there, on their shared birthday, that he met the love of his life, Helen. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Bobby Ray dedicated his skills to crafting orthopedic braces for various surgical companies and after worked for the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority in tunnel maintenance. A man of great generosity, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He found joy in returning home, to be with family. There he enjoyed fishing and clamming in the sound at Wrightsville Beach, NC.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen, his son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Judy. He is survived by his loving daughter, Cheryl, and her husband, Bob Farrell, as well as eight cherished grandchildren and fifteen adored great-grandchildren.
