Cecylia Kukulski, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted member of the Polish community, passed away peacefully at the age of 92.
Born in Poland, Cecylia immigrated to the United States in 1968, where she made her first American home in Park Slope, Brooklyn. She later settled in Bay Terrace, Staten Island, where she spent the last 27 years of her life surrounded by family and friends.
Cecylia was the proud matriarch of a large and loving family. She is survived by her five children: daughter Elizabeth Alvarez, and sons Andrew Cholewa, Stanley Cholewa, Janusz Cholewa, and Marian Cholewa. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
She lived her life to the fullest, embracing each day with joy, strength, and gratitude. A devout Catholic, Cecylia found strength and peace in her faith, which guided her throughout her life. She found great purpose in serving her Polish community, always eager to lend a helping hand or share a warm smile. She shared her culture, traditions, and kindness with everyone she met. Her unwavering love, wisdom, and resilience will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cecylia’s spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and the community she so passionately served. She will be deeply missed and forever honored.
