I have known Chris since he was 2 years old... our backyard connected...and we became quick friends with his Mom Carol...since he came back to 432 to help his father Frank after he became ill.. it gave me a wonderful chance to reconnect with Chris...He took his father on a cross-country adventure about 3 years ago...I think Frank had a great time. We would chat “over the fence” many times...spoke to him just a day or two before he died, washing his huge bus camper, standing on his yellow scaffolding...A great memory...for a gentle man… God bless and keep you in the palm of His hands...

Chris was an online friend of mine from back in the Buell motorcycles renaissance of the early to mid-2000s. While I never met him in person,  I considered him a friend, and he will be missed.

Our friend Chris, I met you when you were a teenager and we became fast friends. You were the most caring and best friend we could have, always looking to help us out with anything we needed from babysitting to cooking for us.  I never had to hesitate to call you for anything. You were our adopted “Sonny Boy” and we adored our nicknames you gave us “Poppa Doodle Do” and “Mama Bear”
Rest easy my friend and may the angels surround you with everlasting love. You were certainly one of the very best there is.

My Favourite Republican. I'm so sad you are no longer with us in person. My heart truly breaks for you and Brianna. Jayne and my Grandkids will miss you dearly, all your visits with them over the years, especially Thanksgiving. I remember being there for my first taste of your deep-fried Turkey, it was delicious, oven-roasted has never tasted the same. 

I enjoyed our banter over politics so much. 
I believe your spirit will always be with those who loved you.

You're my hero, Chris...
We share amazing memories talking about politics, bikes, and the great outdoors. I will miss those moments, but I find comfort in knowing that you beat me getting out of NYC, and instead of NC, you went to heaven.  You leave us all confused and crying, but man o’ man, you’re in a better place than all of us here on earth.

 I will see you there, my brother. In the meantime, Praise GOD with all your might.

One of my fondest memories of Chris was when I met him in Arkansas and we enjoyed the back roads. You will be missed my friend!

I met Chris on Craigslist, doing what any crazy dude does on the internet, shopping for motorcycles and tools for sale by other crazy dudes. Preferably local. 

I found him to be a tough negotiator and a bit  proud of what he was selling. I caved in and agreed to his asking price, not because I thought it was worth the price, but because he was someone that knew quality and expected the best out of the things around him. I also found out he was my neighbor and didn’t want to upset him by walking away from a deal. 

Our shared interests and connection to a hilly street opened the floodgates to stories about the neighborhood, mechanical adventures and finding zen in motorcycle maintenance. Chris was always on the move and chasing that next repair or potential project. When he asked me if I knew anyone in Omaha, NE who could check out an old BMW he was interested in, I knew that I had found a kindred spirit. 

I knew Chris for less than a month, but it felt like years in the best way possible. He was a man who surrounded himself with quality and only the best, whether it was tools, motorcycles, or improvements to his coach. I knew when Chris said something was the best, he had painstakingly researched and thought it through.  If you stopped reading here, this would sound materialistic, but in the time I knew Chris, he was always quick to share that knowledge and research. Always quick to share that part or tool and expect nothing in return.  Who in their right mind offers to deliver an 800 pound toolbox or help move a motorcycle in what otherwise is simply a sketchy business transaction? Chris did. 

It was truly a highlight of my life to share time with him and now have a little bit of what he loved so much in my workshop. Thanks for the lift, the box and the memories. The friendship alone was worth the asking price.

I am a neighbor of Chris as well, and wanted to share what a gregarious, helpful, and kind-spirited person Chris was. I walked my dogs often past Chris’s garage, and he’d always say hello, and we’d chat. He told me about his amazing adventures over the summer, traveling through various states in the west in his RV. He was a true outdoor lover and seemed like he was happiest living a simple life on the open road.  Chris used to pump up my car tires for me without my asking because that was the kind of guy he was -handy and kind. 

The world is shining a little less bright without him. May Chris’s family find solace in reflecting on all the wonderful memories they shared. 

Sending my deepest condolences.

I knew Chris for a short time. I'm his neighbor. I was beyond shocked to hear of his death. I always enjoyed talking to him. 

He always offered to help you with groceries or packages you were carrying. Always a wave and a kind word.  

He will be very much missed. I count him as one of the people in my life who are not easily forgotten.  

May the Good Lord rest your soul.
