Obituario de Dolores Ladley
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Harmon Funeral Home

Dolores Ladley (Mucerino) passed away on December 14, 2023 at home surrounded by her children. She was born on December 20, 1930 on the lower east side of Manhattan. She is predeceased by her husband James Joseph Ladley 5/28/2002, son James Patrick Ladley 9/11/2001, and daughter Eileen Ladley 3/6/2022. Her three surviving children are Mary Ann Leach (Mick), Daniel Ladley, and Patrick Ladley, daughter in law Sheri Calamusa (Frank), 8 grandchildren, Edward Colligan, James Spina, Louis Spina, Anthony Kapp, Kenneth Kapp, Shannon Raymond, Elizabeth Ladley and James Ladley. She is survived by her sister Anne D'Antonio and brother Ralph Mucerino (Peggy) and predeceased by two sisters Margaret Nasco and Rose Torres. Dolores lived for her family. Nothing made her happier than being with her children and grandchildren celebrating joyous occasions or just time together. Her cooking was exceptional and she would spend hours preparing feasts which brought her so much joy as the family gathered together. She enjoyed getting out and walking in the neighborhood talking to lifelong neighbors and strangers alike. She also loved the neighborhood dogs and would always keep biscuits handy. Her son Daniel was her caretaker for the past 5 years and they shared a very special bond. She loved old movies and would be the go to call from her son Jim at work whenever a trivia question came up about a movie or actor from her era. As a young girl, she worked as a secretary providing for her parents and siblings. Many wonderful stories were told of her time working in the Empire State Building bringing home delicacies to her family and an abundance of gifts for all during the Christmas holidays. She loved Manhattan and all it offered especially to someone as vibrant as herself. All who knew her loved her with her beautiful smile and caring nature. She will be sorely missed. A memorial will be held at a later date.
