Donna was born in Brooklyn on October 10, 1952. She attended Fontbonne Hall and then Staten Island Community College where she met her late husband Marc. After marrying in 1976, the pair moved to Staten Island.
Donna spent over 40 years as a nurse at Victory Memorial Hospital, where she ran the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center, and then St. Vincent’s Hospital, which was later renamed to Richmond University Medical Center. In her free time, Donna enjoyed caring for her many indoor and outdoor cats, and participated in catch, neuter, and release programs. She loved to have company at her house and loved to cook for everyone that visited. She also loved to refinish antique furniture and to spend time upstate by the lake.
She is survived and deeply missed by her loving family, her two daughters, Taryn and Kristen, their husbands, Antonio and Peter, and her six grandsons, John, Nathaniel, Andrew, Grant, Landon, and Alexander. She was one of six siblings and is missed by her four remaining siblings and her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The family will receive friends and family at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Avenue, on Thursday October 19th, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A mass will be held at 11am on Friday, October 20th, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1091 Forest Avenue.
