Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mr. Gould moved to Randall Manor in 1966 with his children and wife, Vita Marie Gould, and later settled in Grasmere. He was a Sargent in the United States Marine Corp., he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a former officer of the Park Pointe Italian American Club.
Edward was an accomplished baker having learned the trade in various commercial bakeries in Brooklyn. His love of baking extended to pizza making, his pizza being the highlight of Christmas Eve meals and get-togethers. In his late thirties he learned the craft of commercial printing and was the owner/operator of Niro Printing Co. in Brooklyn. Under his leadership the business grew to be the trusted “go to” shop for financial institutions, large businesses, and government agencies before selling the business in 1995. He was passionate about different languages and practiced many. Mr. Gould and his wife enjoyed spending winters at their West Palm Beach home. He enjoyed many cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Europe.
Mr. Gould was the beloved husband of 65 years to Vita Marie (Vitiello) Gould until her passing in 2018. He is survived by his loving children Kenneth (Bernadette), Lynn O'Neill (Tim), and Robert (Annie); loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and dear brother of James Gould, and the late John and Richard Gould.
