Elizabeth A. Stuart

Elizabeth A. Stuart passed away on May 28, 2025 after a long battle with Scleroderma. She was born Elizabeth Grupp in Staten Island, and after graduating from St. Louis Academy in Pleasant Plains, worked for Continental Insurance Company until she met her husband Lloyd Stuart, whom she married in 1969. She left the workforce to raise her three children, and returned back to work at American Re-Insurance (now Munich Reinsurance) once her children were grown. She worked at the World Financial Center until 9/11 when her office relocated to midtown. She retired in 2010 to enjoy spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Denise (Daniel Bradshaw), sons William (Kelley) and Paul (Dorothy). She is also survived by her eight grandchildren; Heather and Kaitlyn Bradshaw, Leah and Noah Stuart, Bailey, Kyle, and Matthew Stuart, and Brandon Dabrowski. She also leaves behind three sisters, Joan Thompson, Marcella Donohue, and Jean Baggs (Edward), and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd.

Visitation will be held at Casey-McCallum Rice Funeral Home, located at 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308, on June 2, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A funeral service is scheduled for June 3, 2025, at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, located at 110 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308, beginning at 9:45 am.

The committal service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Ave, Staten Island, NY 10309, on June 3, 2025, starting at 11:30 am.
