Loved her boys
Florence Camacho passed peacefully at Golden Gate Health & Rehab Center on March 31, 2016.
Born in Puerto Rico, Florence came to Brooklyn as young adult and had been a longtime resident of Staten Island, N.Y., since 1956.
She enjoyed cooking her native "Spanish" food for family. Especially enjoyed was her red rice and beans with tostones.
Florence was a big fan of comedy TV programs such as Red Skelton and Carol Burnett. She greatly enjoyed vacations to Florida with her son, Joseph, in his camper van. "I never saw my mother so intensely happy as she quietly observed the passing scenery."
Florence is survived by her four boys, Joseph, John, Louis and George. A young daughter, Ida, passed on as an infant.
Viewing is on Sunday at Harmon Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
