Fred proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on aircraft carrier USS Cabot.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Roberta, and his children, Roberta, Diane, Lynn, Patricia, Kim, Scott, and the late Fred. Fred has three grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph and Sophia. He is also survived by his brother, Ralph. Fred was a die-hard Yankees baseball fan; he loved to boat and fish.
Funeral is from Virginia Funeral Chapel, 1707 Hylan Blvd., Dongan Hills, on Saturday. Funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's R.C. Church. Private cremation to follow. Visiting is Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
