Gerard Eick

Hero husband, father, son, brother, uncle, & Pop-Pop, 57 Gerard (Jerry) Eick passed away on September 27th, 2021. Born in Westerleigh, he attended Blessed Sacrament, St. Peter's Boys High School, and College of Staten Island. Jerry worked for the Staten Island Advance until he found his true calling as an NYPD officer. He devoted his life to protecting our city and to his family. He retired as an NYPD Detective and then became a very special Agent with the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Jerry's favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends. He was one of the most honorable men you'd ever meet and he never met a person he couldn't make laugh. Jerry is survived by his wife, Michele, of 34 years; daughters, Lauren Weyant (Greg), Nicole Eick (Daniel), and Michele Eick; grandson, Thomas Weyant; parents, Andrew and Ann Eick; siblings, Andrew Eick (Kathleen), Annmarie Eick, Patricia Butts (Wesley); as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends may visit Friday, Oct 1st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave. Funeral mass is Saturday, Oct 2nd 9:30am at St. Teresa Church, at 1634 Victory Blvd. Interment is in Moravian Cemetery.
