

Jeffrey Gordon Lampert, M.D., age 76, son of the late Charles and Rhoda Lampert, died on March 19, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Diane T. Lampert; daughter, Katherine Lampert (Michael Kraines); grandchildren Caroline and Jesse Kraines; sister Wendy Hubert (Norm); brother Ronald Lampert; and extended family members and friends.
Dr. Lampert grew up in the Detroit area, where he attended Southfield High School. As a child, he worked in his grandfather’s grocery store and loved playing his clarinet in the school orchestra.
Dr. Lampert graduated from Wayne State University and Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Chicago and an additional residency at Northwestern University-McGaw Medical Center.
Dr. Lampert was a devoted anesthesiologist specializing in pediatrics. He worked on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic at Staten Island University Hospital Northwell Health.
Dr. Lampert was dedicated to his patients, esteemed for his skill in providing care to young children as well as patients of every age, and known among residents as an outstanding educator.
Dr. Lampert was equally committed to his family. He was kind, introspective, calm under pressure, and loved classical music. Though Dr. Lampert’s presence will be greatly missed, the love he gave will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
