

Born and raised Joan Percic in Bessemer, Pa., she moved to Great Kills in 1963.
She first worked as an information clerk at the Hotel Biltmore, then in the accounting department at Smith Barney, both in Manhattan.
In 1977, she relocated to Houston to work as an operations manager at Shearson Lehman Brothers. After retiring in 1996, she returned to the Island, moving to Grasmere. She settled in Randall Manor in 1998.
Ms. Grimm enjoyed volunteering and was honored for her service in 2005 by the Staten Island Botanical Garden and in 2010, by Snug Harbor Cultural Center.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She also enjoyed many wonderful friendships.
Ms. Grimm had a good sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. She was vibrant and fun-loving, and the life of every party she attended. Everyone who knew her enjoyed being in her company, family said.
She enjoyed gardening and baking.
Ms. Grimm was a parishioner of Assumption-St. Paul R.C. Parish, where she volunteered and was a member of the Altar Society.
Her son, Stanley, died in 1993.
Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Connors and Deborah Feeney; her sister, Carol Perry, and a granddaughter.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Arrangements include cremation.
