Joann Rohrig lost her almost five-year battle with Colon Cancer surrounded by her family on 03/21/24 at Richmond University Medical Center. She was 51. Born and raised in Staten Island, she attended St. Paul’s School and graduated from St. Peter’s High School for Girls in 1990. She attended the College of Staten Island. Joann worked at Richmond University Medical Center, formally St. Vincent’s Medical Center, for 26 years, leaving due to her illness. She began her career in the Billing Department and transferred to the Medical Records (HIM) Department after receiving her credentials for Coding and Billing.
Joann enjoyed music and was a huge Bon Jovi fan. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, going to concerts, and watching the New York Rangers.
Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis in 2015, and Maureen in 2020. She is survived by her twin sister, Kim Rohrig Antonacci, her nephews, Nicholas and James as well as many family and friends.
