My wife and I will always remember John  or Juanito as I called him .
One of my best memories is watching the Super Bowl in 2012    Giants defeat the Patriots 
21 to 17
Juanito was jumping all over celebrating and so was I.

We BBQ that day, John bought the steaks. And I bought the lobsters,  we had a few beers , we had aa awesome time .

We met in the 1990s and right away became really good friends, 
My wife and I had a lot of respect for him, my wife and I had a hard time trusting people for a while, but with John was different he showed us what a true friend should be like.
John was not just a friend, He was family to us.
I have faith that someday we’ll meet again, Rest in peace my dear friend we love you.

You were such a good friend for 45 years. You always were there to lend a helping hand in all things. I will miss you and think of u every day. We loved going to movies together and talking history. You made a good difference in my life and I thank you for it. Bless you forever my dear friend. Kathie

He was a special person, who always had a smile, was a calming presence and a kind soul. Will miss your emails and hugs. Rest in peace dear Uncle John!

I meet john in Las Vegas while I was driving a limousine and he drove a cab,  we became good friends and spend a lot of time together,
I remember we had a great time watching the Giants beat the patriots  for the Super Bowl

I met John in 1967 when I was in college learning to be a teacher and he was about to enter the Air Force. Our life paths took us in different directions, and the last time John and I saw each other was in 1980, but for the past ten years we have been corresponding by email. I really looked forward to John’s emails. He was a great writer. He had a unique and creative way with words, and always had something interesting, insightful, and/or witty to say. It makes me so sad to know there will be no more emails from John. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family members and loved ones. I would love to be at the service, but I live in Oklahoma. I will be there in spirit.

I will miss Uncle Johnny's loving kindness and sweet smile.  Here's a favorite photo of my dad with his very young in-laws, such a sweet moment captured so long ago.  May our memories of good times with loved ones we've lost bring us all comfort.

You were such a warm and loving person with a great sense of humor you will be missed by so many. Love, Aleane

Although John and I were first cousins, we hadn't seen each other since we were about 8 years old.  Fortunately, we connected with each other about three years ago by phone and email.

I'm am deeply sorry to not have been able to see him again in person since our childhood.  Even though we failed to meet, I still felt a close bond with a person I could tell was a very decent human being.

My sincerest condolences to his Brother & Sisters and to all of his extended family and friends.  May he rest in peace & God Bless.

Johnny was always kind to me in the short time that I knew him.

Always had a kind word, a story about his travels when he was younger, and some advice when asked. 

Generous as he always had something he wanted to share whether his cooking or a keepsake.

I'll always look back fondly on my time on Staten Island, and Johnny was a part of those years. I'll miss him and extend my condolences to Julio and the rest of the family I won't be able to to meet this week but look forward to meeting in the near future.
