Born in Manhattan, he moved to Fort Wadsworth 37 years ago. He attended school in Italy during his teenage years.
He spent his career as a restaurateur in Manhattan, retiring in the 1960s.
Mr. Chiesa was a member of the Pelican Club, and enjoyed playing golf and pinochle in his leisure time.
During World War II, he served as a lieutenant and partisan in the U.S. Army, stationed in the European theater.
“He was a loving husband,” said his wife of 37 years, the former June Jaeger.
Also surviving is his daughter, Kelly Chiesa.
The funeral will be on Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Arrangements include cremation.
