John James Kimball Jr.

John James Kimball Jr., age 57, of Staten Island, NY, passed away on July 21, 2025, at Richmond University Medical Center. Born and raised in Staten Island, John dedicated his life to serving his community with honor, integrity, and unwavering commitment.

A proud member of the NYPD for 35 years, John rose through the ranks to become a respected Police Captain. His leadership, strength, and compassion left a lasting mark on those he served with and protected.

Above all, John was a devoted father to his children, Jillian and Shane, whom he loved beyond measure. He was the beloved son of John and Marie Kimball, and a caring brother to Michael and Daniel. He is also survived by his longtime loving girlfriend, Lucille. His family was the center of his world, and he was a source of strength, laughter, and love to them every day.

John’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched, both in and out of uniform. His courage, kindness, and quiet sense of duty will be remembered always.

Wake services will be held on Thursday, July 24th, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 7:00–9:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, Staten Island. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 25th, at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, Staten Island.
