

Born Josephine Joyce in Brooklyn, she met her future husband, Matthew (Buddy) DeLacy, in her native borough. The couple lived in Brooklyn until 1984, when they moved to Rosebank.
Mrs. DeLacy was active in her buildings' community and was a tenant volunteer. She received an award in 2012 from the New York City Housing Authority for her service.
In her leisure time, she loved to play bingo.
"She was a loving mom and a very good wife. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren," said her son, Thomas.
Mrs. DeLacy was an active parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Rosebank.
Matthew, her husband of 53 years, died in 2001.
Surviving, along with her son, are her daughter, Joan Stevenson; her brother, Thomas Joyce; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
