Josephine Simone, affectionately known as Pina, passed away surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Calabria, Italy, Pina came to the United States in 1955 where she settled into Brooklyn later moving to Staten Island in 1994. She worked as a seamstress and took great pride in her craft and dedication.
A devoted Catholic, Pina lived her life guided by faith, compassion, and generosity. She found great joy in cooking for her family and caring for those she loved, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her kitchen.
She was predeceased by her three beloved children Frank, Maria, and Emma. Pina is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Pasquale, and her cherished grandchildren Michael, PinaMarie, Gabriella, Carmine, and Cristina. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
