

Born Lena P. Prignoli in West Brighton, she lived in Port Richmond and Mariners Harbor before settling in Meiers Corners in 1965.
She began her career as a bookkeeper for Major's Department Store until it closed down more than 20 years ago, and then Mrs. Martin worked in sales and production at her son John's business, J and M Stained Glass Studio in Port Richmond, until it closed in 1994.
She graduated from McKee High School in St. George.
Mrs. Martin enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working with stained glass and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son Lawrence W. Martin, Jr., who died in 1993.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband of 65 years Lawrence W. Martin, Sr.; a son John L. Martin; a daughter, Melanie Agnello; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. at Holy Family R.C. Church, Westerleigh, followed by a burial at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Brighton.
