

Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Ferrara lived in Hasbrook Heights, N.J., and Boyton Beach Florida, he moved to New Springville in 1980 and settled in Westerleigh in 2002.
Mr. Ferrara studied at the High School of Art and Design, Manhattan.
Mr. Ferrara was employed as a freelance commercial artist, working for RCA, Boliva, Seagrams, and other noted companies. He retired in 2008.
An avid golfer, his favorite course was Silver Lake. He also liked to bowl, playing in leagues at the former Show Place and Country Lanes.
Mr. Ferrara enjoyed traveling to the Jersey Shore, spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was a parishioner at St. Teresa’s R.C. Church, Castleton Corners.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Johanna Caruvana; two sons, Vincent, Joseph; two daughters, Elizabeth DeLavan, Melanie Csorba; a brother, Vincent and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Teresa’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Brighton.
