Luigi Tirro, 84, of Westerleigh, died Jan. 13, 2017. Born in Italy, Mr. Tirro immigrated to Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1969, moving to Westerleigh in 1974. He was a retired construction worker, and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Mr. Tirro loved his family, and especially enjoyed hosting family gatherings. He liked making wine and tomato sauce, and looking for wild mushrooms to jar. Mr. Tirro was the husband of the late Pasqualina Aleandra Tirro, his wife of 60 years. He is survived by his children, Ferdinando, Mario and Salvatore Tirro, along with their spouses; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild, Aleandra Montgomery. Services are being handled by Casey Funeral Home. Visitation is Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral is Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. Entombment is in Cemetery of the Resurrection.
