Luis was a loving husband and father who was committed to his family. He worked hard to provide for them the best life he could and loved them deeply as they loved him. He is survived by his wife, Imelda and his boys Kenneth, Ralph and his wife Dorothy, Albert and his wife Alison, Dolby and his wife Karianne and Marco and his wife Tavi; his 13 grandchildren Jessenia, Lillianna, Emma, Keira, Gabriel, Payton, Christian, Carlee, Michelle, Katrina, Kailyn, Kevin and his wife Sucely, and Jeffrey and his wife Kara; his 4 great grandchildren Ashley, Madelyne, Madison, and Gabriella.
Luis was driven to succeed professionally from a young age. He loved architecture which led him to his long career as an engineer, for which he earned a masters degree in. He worked as an engineer for both the city and state of New York and finished his engineering career in a private firm while attending school at night to become a certified tax preparer. He would start and successfully run his own tax business for over 25 years. His business was successful because he treated his clients like family which speaks to who he was at his core.
Luis loved people. He loved meeting new people and always found a way to make everyone laugh. He was kind and generous and was always willing to go above and beyond to help anyone.
Luis loved music. He would spend hours daily listening to music and loved to dance too. You could see when a favorite song of his would start playing, it would take over him and he would start grooving. His favorite sport was fútbol and would watch it for hours during the World Cup.
His passing has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. He will be missed dearly and remembered lovingly. Let the fond memories of Luis fill your hearts and bring you joy in those moments of sadness.
A visitation for Luis will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314.
