Born Marie Chilelli in Brooklyn, she settled in Concord in 1963.
Mrs. Doherty loved to visit Atlantic City in her leisure time. An animal-lover, she owned three dogs, two cats and one bird.
Mrs. Doherty was a parishioner of St. Sylvester's R.C. Church, Concord.
Surviving are her husband of nearly 60 years, John; a son, John; a daughter, Catherine Graniero; a sister, Maryann Barillaro-Gaffney; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Arrangements include cremation.
