Maureen B. (Harty) Knubbert

Maureen Byrne (Harty) Knubbert, age 72, passed away peacefully in her lovely home on Sunday July 25, 2021. She was born on August 18, 1948 in Staten Island, New York to Frank J. and Nora Harty. She married the love of her life, John Knubbert, in May of 1970 who preceded her in death. Maureen is survived by her children Sean Edward Knubbert and Tara Mary Knubbert-Miller. Her son, Scott Egan, preceded her in death in June of 2012. Her four grandchildren Arianna, Cassidy, Maeve and John carry her in their hearts always. Maureen was one of 6 children. She now joins her brother, Edward Harty and sisters, Judith (Harty) Quinn and Sandra Harty in heaven. She is survived by her brothers, Francis “Fran” Harty and Bruce Harty.

Maureen is also an adored aunt and great-aunt to several nieces and nephews. Her family was her life. Maureen would do anything for anyone and possessed an immeasurable amount of compassion. She enjoyed years of working with special needs children and then proceeded to nurture elderly patients as a home healthcare worker. Maureen was also a cherished friend to many. To know her was to love her.
