

Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Grasso settled in Annadale in 2005.
Mr. Grasso worked for 55 years with St. John's Associates, a mailing company in Bronx, starting there at age 16 and working his way up to manager. He retired in 2005.
Mr. Grasso enjoyed walking inside Staten Island Mall daily to stay in shape. He also loved gardening, listening to music on his iPod, watching football with his grandson and going to lunch and shopping with his daughter and granddaughter. Mr. Grasso also loved celebrating the holidays, especially Christmas. He also enjoyed vacationing with his family in Florida, Bermuda and the Bahamas.
"He was a true family man who was also a kind and gentle soul. He loved to eat, especially Italian food. He was everything to everyone — he was a father, uncle, friend and someone to anyone whoever needed it," said his granddaughter, Lauren Di-
Schiavi.
His wife of 35 years, the former Marie Diamante, died in 1998.
Surviving are his son, James; one daughter, Angela DiSchiavi; one brother, Louis Grasso; three sisters, May Whittaker, Carol Stanzione and Linda Miglionico, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday from the Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Richmond. The burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
