Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Staten Island in 1981.
Mr. DiBenedetto was a self-employed electrician.
He loved music and playing the guitar.
He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
"It was always about his family, whatever he could do for us," said his daughter, Lauren DiBenedetto.
Mr. DiBenedetto attended St. Teresa's R.C. Church, Castleton Corners.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Jane Francese; his daughter, Lauren DiBenedetto; his mother, Frances, and two sisters, Rachel Ruggiero and Maria Elena Cosmai.
The funeral will be Friday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Teresa's Church. Arrangements include cremation.
