Born in St. George, he lived in Westerleigh for a short time before settling in Stapleton in 1977.
Mr. Nucci graduated from McKee High School, and worked as an auto mechanic for various dealerships on Staten Island.
He later switched careers and worked as an electrician for MetLife at its Manhattan headquarters. He stopped working in 2013 due to illness.
Mr. Nucci was a familiar face in his neighborhood on Van Duzer Street.
He was an avid New York sports fan, and enjoyed watching the Jets, Rangers and Yankees. He also liked to fish, whether it was off a pier or on a deep-sea fishing trip.
He attended the Church of the Assumption, New Brighton.
Mr. Nucci is survived by his brothers, Edward and Mario, his twin.
Funeral arrangements, including cremation, are being handled by the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners.
