April 12, 2003 – August 5, 2025
It is with profound sorrow and immense love that we announce the passing of PV2 Adriel René Guzmán, age 22, on August 5, 2025, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Born on April 12, 2003, Adriel was a devoted son, a loyal friend, a faithful follower of Christ, and a proud United States Army Soldier. In March 2025, Adriel graduated from Basic Training as an Infantryman, and the following month, he successfully completed the rigorous Airborne School. At the time of his passing, he was serving with the 4th Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group, awaiting selection for the prestigious U.S. Army Special Forces.
Adriel’s dedication to excellence was evident from a young age. He attended P.S. 22 Graniteville Elementary School, participated in the Honors Program at I.S. 51 Markham Intermediate School, and graduated from Port Richmond High School. While in high school, he was a valued member of the Football team and briefly played Lacrosse, a season cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beyond his achievements in school and service, Adriel was known for his generous heart, unwavering integrity, and gentle spirit. A true gentleman and scholar, he carried himself with dignity and kindness. His deep faith in Christ was the guiding light of his life, and he was steadfast in encouraging his family and friends to know and walk with the Lord.
Adriel leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He is survived by his loving family, devoted friends, and fellow soldiers who stood alongside him. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact will be felt for generations.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his courage, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God and country.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." – 2 Timothy 4:7
