Raffaela DeStefano

Raffaela DeStefano of South Beach, Staten Island, N.Y., passed away on March 7, 2017. Born on Staten Island, Rae attended PS 18 and Curtis High School. She was a legal secretary with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. Her hobbies were Atlantic City and her interests were gambling, cursing and drinking. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. A strong, loving and very caring person, Rae never failed to remember a family member or friend's special occasion. She was always there with a card and cash. If her loved ones needed anything, Rae was always there ready and willing to help. Raffaela was predeceased by her dear husband, Angelo "The Fella" DeStefano. She was the beloved mother of Irvin DeStefano (deceased) and his wife, Maureen DeStefano, and Donna DeStefano, and grandmother of Sarah, Deirdre and Shane. She also leaves her sisters, Connie Alexandrini and Patricia Vasquez; brothers, Sam DeRosa and Henry DeRosa; sister-in-law, Rosemarie DeRosa, and brothers-in-law, James Vasquez and Philip Alexandrini. Services will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, at Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. The funeral is on Friday, March 10, at Casey Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery.
