Rita Roldan

Loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Carlos, daughters Jennifer and Julie, stepdaughter Laurie, and grandchildren Julia, Jackson, Gianna, Kayla, Ava, and Adam.

Rita was 75 years old born and raised in Williamsburg Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island in 1980. She obtained a master’s in education from Hunter College and taught at Kingsborough Community College and Curtis High School. She was a board member of World of Women, a member of Lamb of God prayer group, and an active parishioner of St. Clare church. She enjoyed going to her Pennsylvania home with her family and going to watch her husband’s musical performances with ‘Memories’ and ‘The Dreamers’, as she loved to sing and dance. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was beautiful both inside and out and will be deeply missed.

A visitation for Rita will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A visitation will occur Monday, February 19, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 9:45 AM at St. Clare Church, 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308. A committal service will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 11:15 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10309.
