Born and raised in Brooklyn, she and Richard moved to Staten Island in the early 60’s, where they raised their son. After almost 4 decades living on Staten Island, they moved to Forks Township, Pennsylvania.
Rita was a classically trained Soprano and spent years singing and performing solos for church services and weddings. She served as head of the Altar Guild and ran the cake table for the annual holiday fair.
Rita worked as a Public School Secretary on Staten Island for over 15 years.
In addition to her family, she loved animals, cooking, gardening and antiques.
Rita is survived by her son, Richard, daughter-in-law Cara and grandchildren, Mia and Andrew.
