

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mr. Pesiri moved to South Beach in 1983.
He was a salesman for Drake’s Bakery for 15 years, retiring in 1998.
Mr. Pesiri loved to build and fix things.
“He was Mr. Fix It,” said his wife of 28 years, the former Alberta Conway.
Mr. Pesiri enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with his wife and spending time with his family.
He served in the Korean War in the U.S. Army as a private first class and was stationed in Germany from 1954 to 1956.
In addition to his wife, Alberta, surviving are four sons, Larry, Jack and Richard Conway, and John Porcari; a daughter, Linda Romolo; a brother, Robert Pesiri; a sister, Molly Schwartz, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Virginia Funeral Chapel, Dongan Hills, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, South Beach. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
