Lifelong Staten Island Resident | Devoted Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother
Rose Krause, born Rose Renzulli, a cherished lifelong resident of Staten Island, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at Carmel Richmond. She was surrounded by love and compassion, having previously resided with her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Odum, and received exceptional care from her dedicated private aides.
Rose lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and quiet strength. She was a proud member of both the Grandmothers’ Club and AARP, and she found joy in simple pleasures—reading, knitting, caring for her beloved pets, and playing cards and board games with family and friends. Her love for animals was matched only by her fondness for the color pink.
Professionally, Rose served the City of New York as a full-time secretary until her retirement, contributing with diligence and grace.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Krause (1982), and her dear son, Ronald Krause (2017). Rose’s legacy lives on through her daughter Marilyn Gerbino Odum, son-in-law Bill Odum, grandchildren Joyce, Ross, Jennifer, and Laura, and great-grandchildren Antonio, Johnny, Juliette, Stephen, Ryan, Nicholas, and Logan.
Visitation will be held at Harmon Funeral Home on Sunday, August 10th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Church in Richmondtown.
Rose will be remembered for her gentle heart, her love of family, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
