My husband and I were neighbors of Karen & Steven and were so saddened by the loss of Karen just a couple of months ago. Today, I just learned of Steve's passing and am even more shocked and saddened. Steve was such a great neighbor and friend. While our area was evacuated during Hurricane Irene, a few of us couldn't leave our homes. As such, Steve helped my husband and I and our neighbors behind us, secure our yards, decks, pools and made sure we were all safe throughout the storm. I was forever greatful to him for all that he did for all of us. 

Our heartfelt condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the Penchenski family and friends. Please let us know when the services will be as many of us neighbors would like to come. If there is anything we can do, or a trust has been set up for his family, please let us know as well...

My heart goes out to you all for such a loss. Although we haven't seen each other for years and years, I still carry you in my heart. We used to play together when we were so little.
