Born Theresa Spero in Brooklyn, she moved to Castleton Corners 40 years ago.
Mrs. Santelmo was a clerical worker for almost 20 years in Manhattan. She retired in 1971.
“She was a very loving, honest and caring person,” said her son, Carl A.
Her husband of 50 years, Carl V., died in 1974.
Along with her son, Carl, also surviving are three grandchildren.
The funeral will be tonight at 8 o’clock in the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners. Burial will be in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I.
