

Thomas J. Moskie, age 84, of Staten Island, New York, originally from Brooklyn, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love and service cherished by his family and friends.
Born in Brooklyn, Tom was the beloved husband of Gwen Moskie. Together, they shared a life filled with love and devotion. Tom was a dedicated and loving father to his sons Thomas and James, a loving father-in-law to Karen, and a caring uncle to all his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Felix and his half-sister Dorothy.
Tom was a man of honor and commitment, evident in his service to his country. He served as a Cold War veteran in the US Navy aboard the destroyers USS Hank and USS Laffey. His dedication to his fellow veterans extended beyond his service, as he frequently attended navy ship reunions, fostering bonds of camaraderie that lasted a lifetime.
Professionally, Tom excelled as a bank executive for Bankers Trust Company, where his leadership and expertise were invaluable. Beyond his career, he was deeply involved in his community, actively participating in various organizations including the Elks, Knights of Columbus, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Fleet Reserve, and the American Legion.
Tom will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A visitation for Tom will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, located at 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Clare Church, 110 Nelson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10308.
Tom will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, integrity, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and country. May he rest in peace.
