Born Vincenza Tumminello in Manhattan, she also lived in Queens before settling in Great Kills in 1965.
While in Queens, Mrs. Mastroberti worked in a retail jewelry store. Upon moving to the Island, she worked for 35 years at her father's business Tumminello's Deli in Great Kills with her many siblings, retiring in 1997.
She was an avid crocheter, who enjoyed making special gifts for her family.
"She was the center of her large family and will deeply be missed by all of those she leaves behind," said her granddaughter, Vikki Smith.
She was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church, Great Kills.
Her husband of 61 years, Frank, died in 2010, and her son, Thomas, died in 1956.
Surviving are two daughters, Annette Troland and Jean Covino; two brothers, Vincenzo (Jimmy) Tumminello and John Tumminello; two sisters, Rose D'Amico and Loretta Holck; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's Church. Burial will follow in Moravian Cemetery, New Dorp.
