William A. Meyer

Bill was born in 1944 to Murilla Devereaux and Christian Meyer. He grew up in Cypress Hills in Brooklyn. He attended St. Francis High School and St. Francis College in Brooklyn. He moved to Staten Island in 1978.

He was a New York City Educator for 33 years, for many years at Port Richmond High School.

Bill was an avid Mets and Rangers fan. Bill and his wife Barbara of 50 years enjoyed traveling to visit ballparks around the country, going on cruises, and visited all 50 states together!

Bill was dedicated to his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Paul. He is survived by his wife Barbara, son Matthew, daughter-in-law Amanda, daughter Kristine, son-in-law Ketan, and his 5 grandchildren.

William A. Meyer, aged 81, passed away on July 21, 2025. He was a resident of Staten Island, New York.

Visitation will be held at Casey Funeral Home, located at 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314, on July 25, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1634 Victory Blvd, New York, NY 10314, on July 26, 2025, from 10:45 am to 11:45 am.
