

Mr. Charles A. Youngblood, age 80, passed away Monday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a native and longtime resident of Bulloch County. Mr. Youngblood retired from Union Camp after 35 years of service as a paper maker. He enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Frank Youngblood, Paul Youngblood, Sidney Youngblood, Hollis Youngblood, Betty Lanier, and Ruth Lowe.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Finch Youngblood of Portal; his son, Jeff Youngblood of Myrtle Beach, SC; his step-children, Diane Garrett of Portal, Kay (Donnie) Lane of Portal, Billy (Diane) Allmond of Waynesville, NC, Connie Calhoun of Portal, and Bonnie Allmond of Portal; one sister, Rosalee Delaney of Augusta; twelve grandchildren, Christina, Shannon, Leslie, Amanda, Matt, Crystal, Jason, Heather, Mark, Corey, April, and Alicia; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Rev. John Long officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Mark Calhoun, Corey Calhoun, Chris McCloy, Matt Williams, Ricky Hollingsworth, and Dean Bateman.
Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Hodges-Moore Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
