

Born in Pearl River, NY on September 4, 1943, Mr. Post spent most of his life in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Statesboro, GA.
A graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA, Mr. Post began his career with the City of Philadelphia as an accountant in 1968, after serving as an Intelligence Analyst in the US Army, and rose to become assistant revenue commissioner in 1986. In that capacity he was instrumental in implementing a monthly water billing system, automating the City’s meter reading operation and enhancing the computerization of the tax billing system. In 1997, Mr. Post was given responsibility for managing the computerization of the criminal justice and public safety portfolio and helped enhance the police, prison and court operations.
Mr. Post was a member of numerous professional organizations and was active in the National Association of Credit Managers. Mr. Post was also an active member of the Eastern Heights Baptist Church, in Statesboro, GA.
Mr. Post retired to Statesboro, GA in 2003 and worked at Willingway Hospital, helping alcohol and substance abuse patients.
Mr. Post is survived by his wife, Peggy of Statesboro; brother, Wayne Post and his wife, Barbara of Milton, GA and his sister, Linda Cothren of Alma, GA.
A celebratory gathering will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2016 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Julian Ward officiating.
